• One school One lab project

Promote greater equity in STEM education by providing digital resources without having internet connection

Case statement

firstly, 25% of students reaching the end of primary school still lack of a sound background in French and mathematics. This is partly the cause of the drastic drop in the rate of enrolments in high school. This in turn does not contribute to having qualified young people when enter in the job market.

On the other hand, with regard of jobs skills required for the futur, it becomes essential to acquire skills in STEM from an early age. But how can this option be implemented when most part of the schools in NIGER have limited resources and not equiped with computers lab, let's not talk about an internet connection.

Business model

Livestock is a main pillar in Niger economy, where 14% of the GDP is generated by the production of livestock, namely sheep, goats and cattle.

Thus, to acquire computer equipment, we provide the option to buy sheep online from our french website version, whether you are in Niger or out of the country, which will then be delivered to one of your relatives in Niamey.

The total services fees collected will be used to purchase microcomputers (Raspberry Pi) to equip schools in Niamey.

The advantages of our model

Economic inclusion

Partnership with local cattle sellers to offer you the best prices. It also helps to boost the sector and give visibility to farmers.

Cost efficient equipement

The computer lab will be equipped with microcomputers called Raspberry Pi costing approximately 30,000 F CFA (45 €) each. This computer consumes very little energy, is easy to maintain and its performances make it an adequate machine for STEM education.

Follow up & Mentoring

Convinced that "small streams make big rivers", the sharing of our knowledge in IT combined with the support of local organizations for the acquisition of computer equipment will allow to achieve the objectives of the project
